Rules and permits
- Dogs Allowed on Leash
- Boat-in Only
Boaters anchoring offshore or using the moorage buoys should be aware of strong currents on the west side of the island. East side moorage is subject to large waves created by commercial ships.
No garbage service is available on the island, practice Leave No Trace principles. Read our blog to learn more about the LNT principles.
Insect repellent
We recommend using insect repellent into September, particularly if you are staying at a shadier campsite.
Shellfish harvesting
A recreational license is required for fishing and shellfish harvesting at Washington's state parks. For regulations, fishing season information or to purchase a recreational license, visit the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Cellphone service
Cell service is sporadically available here because Clark Island is close to a cell tower on Orcas Island.
