Notice: Summer 2026 Pool Operations Update The Maryland Park Service would like to inform visitors that the swimming pool at Pocomoke River State Park will not be open for the 2026 summer season. Due to lifeguard staffing limitations, the park is unable to meet the operational requirements needed to safely open the pool this year. Pocomoke River State Park remains open and continues to offer a wide range of outdoor recreation opportunities, including camping, paddling, hiking, fishing, and nature exploration. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to the park. Notice: The Shad Landing marina improvement project is progressing through the final design review phase. Construction is now anticipated to begin in 2026. The marina will remain open for the 2026 summer season. Please be aware that some access limitations may occur during the fall of 2026 once construction begins. We will share updated timelines as soon as they are confirmed. Our goal is to create a safer, more modern, and more accessible marina experience for all visitors. Thank you for your patience and support as we work to improve public access to the Pocomoke River.
