First Point, South Eden, Cisco Beach, Rainbow Cove and North Eden.

First Point
First Point is located on the southeast portion of the lake. First Point can be accessed on Cisco Road, approximately 4 miles north of the Utah State Road 30 and Cisco Road junction in Laketown. The beach at this location is considered rocky. First Point is open year-round.
First Point Launch Ramp – First Point is primarily a launching area for boats and is a day-use area. No overnight facilities are in this area. It has a 3-lane ramp. There is a small area for picnics and gatherings to the south of the ramp.
South Eden
South Eden is located on the east side of the lake. South Eden can be accessed on Cisco Road, approximately 8 miles north of the Utah State Road 30 and Cisco Road junction in Laketown. The beach in this area is rocky with some sand. South Eden is open from approximately May 1 through October 31 of each year, weather permitting.
South Eden Campground – South Eden offers 20 individual sites each with an RV power and water hook-up. There are 2 group campsites in South Eden that can accommodate up to 30 people and 5 vehicles. Vault toilets service the campground. This campground is on Reserve America.
Cisco Beach
Cisco Beach is open year-round. The beach in this area is rocky and the lake’s water depth drops fast. The rocky bottom and steep drop-off close to shore make this location a favorite of shore anglers and scuba divers. Cisco Beach received its name for the famous “Cisco Run.” Each winter the cisco spawn for up to two weeks in late January into early February. When the lake is iced over, anglers fish with dip nets in the shallow water along the shores for the small, six to eight-inch Bonneville cisco, a member of the whitefish family. The cisco are easily scooped up by hardy anglers wading waist-deep in the icy water or through holes in the ice if the lake is frozen.
Cisco Beach is located on the east side of the lake. Cisco Beach can be accessed on Cisco Road, approximately 9 miles north of the Utah State Road 30 and Cisco Road junction in Laketown.
Cisco Beach Campground – Cisco Beach is a first-come, first-serve campground. With 58 individual campsites to choose from. Cisco Beach offers a rocky, beach-front access site to at all sites. This area is considered “primitive” because water and electrical utilities are not provided. No extra amenities are at this location. Vault toilets are spread throughout the campground. Cisco Beach has a low water launch ramp that can be accessed on the south end of the campground.
Rainbow Cove
Rainbow Cove is located on the east side of the lake. Rainbow Cove can be accessed on Cisco Road, approximately 11 miles north of the Utah State Road 30 and Cisco Road junction in Laketown. The south day-use beach area, near the launch ramp, is rocky with some sand. The new north day-use beach area is sandy. Some of the best sunsets on Bear Lake can be viewed from this location. The park keeps year round access to the launch ramp while the Sunset campground and north day-use area are open from approximately May 1 through October 31 of each year, weather permitting.
Rainbow Cove Campground – The state has completed the first phase of improvements to the park’s Rainbow Cove facility. Rainbow Cove currently has a 2 lane concrete launch ramp with a parking area for vehicles with boat trailers. Access has been developed to a sandy, day use beach on the north end of the facility. There are also 26 campsites, each with a shade shelter and fire ring. The campsites are first come, first serve. Vault toilets are spread throughout the facility.
- Future Phases: Future phases of this project will expand to a total of 58 individual campsites and 2 group campsites, each with a power and water connection; restrooms with flush toilets and showers; and, 3 RV dump stations. Stay tuned for more exciting details as we move forward with this project!
North End
North Eden is located on the east side of the lake, just south of the Utah-Idaho border. North Eden can be accessed on Cisco Road, approximately 13 miles north of the Utah State Road 30 and Cisco Road junction in Laketown. North Eden has a sandy beach with 11 shade shelters. North Eden is open from approximately May 1 through October 31 of each year, weather permitting.
North Eden Campground – The campground has 35 individual campsites, each with a shade shelter, picnic table, fire ring, and an RV water and electrical hook-up. All campsites have RV power and water hook-ups. There are 120 parking spaces for the day use beach area. The day use beach has 11 covered shade shelters on the beach. Vault toilets are spread throughout the facility.

- 32′ slips are 12’9″ wide | Total Slips: 44. These slips have electric and water utilities.
- 6 rare side/end ties. These moorings are for vessels that can not fit into one of the slips identified above.
Dry Storage: The Bear Lake State Park Marina offers a variety of dry storage options for trailers and boats on trailers. There is a fenced Dry Storage across US89 to the west of the marina. This area can be used for short term storage or long-term storage. In the off season, November through April, boats can be “wet stored” in slips in the Marina.

Wait List: Due to the high demand we have for long-term boat slips, the park maintains a waiting list. The wait can be anywhere from two years to ten or more years, depending on the size of slip and with or without utilities. A wait list application must be filled out every year to stay on the waiting list. Application renewals are due by April 30th each year.
ADVISORY:
Wait Lists Closed: The Bear Lake State Park Boat Slip Wait Lists are currently closed. New applications to the Boat Slip Wait Lists will not be accepted while the Division of State Parks determines whether or not to change the boat slip assignment process at the Bear Lake State Park Marina.
