Fishing
Drop a line in Lake Colorado City, a 1,618-acre impoundment of Morgan Creek. Anglers fish primarily for largemouth bass, channel catfish and sunfish.
The park has a boat ramp and fishing pier. Call to check lake levels before your visit.
You do not need a license to fish from shore or pier in a state park. We loan fishing equipment for your use in the park.
This lake occasionally experiences alga blooms, which vary in toxicity and may result in lake closures or fish kills. Please check the park alerts at the top of this page for closures or contact the park for the latest conditions.
