Beginning April 21, 2025, Breakneck Ridge, other area trails, and the adjacent Breakneck Ridge Metro-North Station will close for a two-year period as part of the construction of the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail’s Breakneck Connector and Bridge project. The closure will allow for the renovation of the Metro-North Breakneck Ridge station and completion of the new Connector and Bridge project, which will make the area safer for hikers and motorists and bring much-needed improvements to the area.

Trails
Trails: Due to the physical topography of the Hudson Highlands and the narrow roads that line the approaches to these congested trailheads, hikers are reminded to please park in designated spaces. If the spaces are filled, please find alternate areas to hike. We ask hikers to be mindful of our beautiful trails and leave no trace of their visit. Bring water, take photos, enjoy and leave no trace.
