Construction activities will temporarily interrupt the Gateway Trail, which provides the connection between the Milltown Confluence Area and the Milltown Gateway Area. The contractor has installed temporary fencing on both the upstream and downstream sides of the work area, along with signage notifying visitors of the trail closure. During construction, the Gateway Trail will remain accessible from the Confluence trailhead; however, the through-connection between the Confluence and Gateway parking areas will be temporarily unavailable. People will not be able to access the trail from the Gateway parking area. This trail closure is expected to remain in effect until construction is complete, or the terms of the authorized permit expire, whichever occurs first.
