Beach

The beach change house has four handicap parking spaces with paved pathways to both the upper and lower levels. The upper level contains vending machines and provides a shady place to sit and relax, overlooking the beach. The restrooms have side-transfer toilets, lever-handled faucets and electric hand dryers. Railed steps lead from the upper level to the lower level, where the change rooms are located. Again, there are side-transfer toilets and lever-handled faucets with plenty of maneuvering room. Roll-in showers with hi/lo showerheads are also available. Paved pathways lead past an accessible water fountain to the large sand beach.

Campground

The campground provides four electric accessible campsites. All have paved pads, extended-end tables, fire rings, pedestal grills and lantern posts, with water hydrants conveniently located.

The showerhouse offers easy access with two handicap parking spaces adjacent to the building. There is plenty of maneuvering room both inside and out with amenities like lever-handled faucets, lowered mirrors, side-transfer toilets and electric hand dryers. Outlets are also within reach. The showers have hi/lo showerheads and a seat with grab bars and can accommodate a wheelchair. At the other end of the campground loop, an accessible vault toilet is available.

The dump station, located adjacent to the showerhouse, is level and without curbs.

Agate Lake Boat Ramp

This level, paved parking lot offers two handicap parking spaces adjacent to the accessible vault toilet. A system of paved pathways leads to the toilet, a shady picnic site and the courtesy dock. The courtesy dock provides a railed ramp and a space for boat access. The picnic site is paved with an extended-end table and pedestal grill, shaded by an old cottonwood overlooking the lake. The boat ramp is accessed via the parking lot, where staging also takes place. The single-lane ramp is paved to normal pool and is an average 10% slope.

Wakonda Lake Boat Ramp

The paved parking lot is on a 4% average slope with a paved ramp of 8%. The courtesy dock provides a railed ramp.

Trails

Jasper Lake Trail is a level, hard packed track for about one-half mile. Parking is on coarse gravel and a drainage swale must be crossed.
