Hiking

The Jackson Memorial Trail is a moderate 0.7-mile hike through the woods behind the Meetinghouse. In addition to the sights and sounds offered by Mother Nature, you’ll enjoy seeing the Jackson Memorial Cemetery.

Storybook Trail

Our Storybook Trail is more than just a story! It also contains physical exercise and Monroe County history components. Stories for the Storybook component are spread throughout the 10 stations which make up the trail. You’ll find the first station across from the park shelter. Stories are changed every few weeks and those changes are announced on the park’s Facebook page. The history component of the trail shares local history in a “On this day in Monroe County history” format. The physical exercise component of the trail challenges participants to complete exercises such as toe-touches and jumping jacks. One trail, three possibilities! Try them all!
