Accessibility
Accessibility at Volo Bog: • Parking - There are three accessible parking spaces in the asphalt parking lot. All sidewalks are concrete and level with the parking lot. • Boardwalk - The boardwalk is a variety of surfaces and is not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There is a slight incline to access the boardwalk from the concrete sidewalk. Its total length is 1500 feet. • Restrooms - There are accessible vault toilets in the park and accessible flush toilets in the Visitor Center. • Service animals are welcome at the site except on the interpretive boardwalk due to the endangered species and fragile hydrology of the bog. • Visitor Center - Exhibits on the second floor of the Visitor Center offer tactile elements. • Trails - Guided hikes are offered at the park. The hikes are between 1/2 mile and 4 miles and last 1 - 3 hours, accommodating the needs of those attending. There are some benches along the trail to sit on. There are no steps on the trails and none of the trails are paved.
