Water Tower 2 Restoration: 10/26/26: We plan to burn slash piles in the Water Tower 2 area starting Tuesday morning 10/27/26 We will be working in the Water Tower 2 area in conjunction with SITPA to masticate 8″ and under Grand Fir trees. Work should begin sometime in October. There will be brief road closures while the machinery is working near the roadway. Meadow Marsh 2 Restoration: SITPA, in conjunction with the park, will try to do an under burn this early fall to burn the remaining slash leftover from the 2020/21 harvest of this cut. UPDATE: The park has concluded the burning portion as of 10/9/26 of Meadow Marsh 2 and will be in the monitoring stage over the next several weeks. We will reopen the Meadow Marsh trail once we feel it is safe for pedestrian traffic. Click here to find out more information on the planned under burn of Meadow Marsh 2.
