Overview
Old Town San Diego State Historic Park (SHP) recreates life in the Mexican and early American periods of 1821 to 1872. The park is comprised of a variety of shops, restaurants, and museums, including five original adobes. The park is located on San Diego Avenue at Twiggs Street. Phone (619) 220-5422 for more information.
The park encompasses seven city blocks and all streets are closed to private vehicles. To assist visitors, an Accessible Guide brochure that shows generally accessible routes of travel are provided at all orientation panels located throughout the park and at the Visitor Information Center (within the Robinson Rose House).
Exhibits/Programs
Many barriers to accessibility have been removed however, a few entries remain with stairs, narrow doors, and high thresholds that may require assistance. Concessionaires and park staff are available to aid, when requested.
